Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Dental Sciences (SDMCDS) Began On 16th September 1986 With A Mission To Cater To The Oral And Dental Needs Of The People Of The Twin Cities Of Hubli Dharwad And The Adjoining Region. Since Inception, SDM Dental Has Moved From Strength-To-Strength—From Humble Beginnings In Rented Premises To A State-Of-The-Art Hospital And Teaching Facility Today.

We Have Been Innovators, Both In Providing Therapeutic Services And Education.

The College Began With A Strength Of 40 BDS Students. In March 1987, The Dental Hospital Was Inaugurated With Six Dental Chairs, Close To Dharwad’s City Centre. Today, The College Boasts Of About 280 Dental Chairs. In June 1990, The College Was Formally Recognised By The Dental Council Of India And In 1991 The Intake Of BDS Students Increased To 100; Postgraduate Courses In All Nine Recognised Dental Specialties Were Initiated The Same Year. The College Admit 45 Postgraduates Annually.
